AQUASOMIC

Results

The final outcomes of the project include:

  • 14 doctoral theses
  • A total of 96 international publications

Documents and data handle are stored in non-propietary data formats in public data repositories such as own institutional repositories and Zenodo

The following sample preparation and analysis methods and procedures have been developed and validated:

  • Polar and semi-polar contaminants in various biological fluids
  • Polar and semi-polar contaminants in water
  • Polar and semi-polar contaminants in biota
  • Microplastics analysis
  • Automated microextraction systems
  • Design of miniaturised platforms for implementing analytical and bioassay methods
  • Workflow to optimise the annotation and identification of compounds in non-targeted analysis
  • Targeted analysis of effects in natural waters to facilitate the identification of toxic compounds
  • 3D Lagrangian models of microfibre dispersion in marine/aquatic environments

The main applications in environmental and human monitoring have been:

  • Environmental monitoring studies
  • Human biomonitoring studies
  • Ecotoxicological and bioavailability studies
  • Environmental modelling studies
